| Requirements and Responsibilities For Insurance Agency Director |
| Directs insurance agency operations and sales activities to support revenue growth, operational efficiency, customer retention, and regulatory compliance objectives. Develops strategic business plans, sales initiatives, and operational policies to improve agency performance and market competitiveness. Oversees branch managers, sales leaders, and operational staff while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and service standards. Evaluates financial performance, distribution metrics, and market trends to identify business opportunities and optimize agency operations. Collaborates with senior leadership, insurance carriers, and external partners to support product development, distribution strategies, and customer engagement initiatives. Ensures compliance with state insurance regulations, licensing standards, and corporate governance requirements across agency operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires NIPR State Licensure. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
