| Requirements and Responsibilities For Insurance Broker II |
| Acts as an intermediary between clients and insurance carriers to identify, recommend, and secure insurance coverage that meets clients' risk management needs. Assesses clients' personal or commercial insurance requirements by analyzing their financial situation, assets, liabilities, and exposure to risk. Researches and compares policies from multiple insurance providers to obtain competitive quotes and present coverage options tailored to client needs. Negotiates terms, premiums, and conditions with underwriters and carriers on behalf of clients to secure favorable policy arrangements. Manages the end-to-end placement process, including application preparation, policy binding, renewals, endorsements, and claims advocacy. Maintains ongoing client relationships by providing advisory support, conducting periodic policy reviews, and identifying coverage gaps or opportunities for improvement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires NIPR State Licensure. Typically reports to a manager. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience. |
