| Requirements and Responsibilities For Insurance Claims Service Manager I |
| Manages the claims service function to ensure prompt, accurate, and high-quality service to claimants, policyholders, and providers. Oversees a team of supervisors and representatives responsible for responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting the claims process. Develops service standards, procedures, and performance metrics to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction. Monitors service levels, call volumes, and quality results to identify and address operational gaps. Resolves escalated complaints and complex service issues requiring management attention. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and service-level commitments. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
