| Requirements and Responsibilities For Medical Writing Manager |
| Manages the team responsible for writing and editing medical content for various projects and initiatives. Monitors medical writing projects including the design, planning, and preparation of documentation. Ensures the team is creating clear and concise documents that effectively communicate complex medical information. Evaluates the accuracy, consistency, and coherence of the written materials and makes recommendations as needed. Reviews and edits the final product to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and guidelines. Stays up to date with the latest developments in the medical field. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
