| Requirements and Responsibilities For Patient Accounts Senior Manager |
| Manages the administration of patient accounts and ensures record keeping practices comply with industry regulations and operational standards. Oversees all financial transactions related to a patient's healthcare services. Applies policies and controls to ensure accurate records, efficient workflow, and compliance with all regulatory standards and internal procedures. Implements processes and procedures to identify insurance coverage, make adjustments, submit claims, and update patient accounts. Coordinates with insurance companies to resolve complex payment issues, coverage questions, or patient inquiries. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
