| Requirements and Responsibilities For SVP of Information Technology |
| Plans, leads, and oversees all aspects of an organization's IT department in accordance with organizational goals and business objectives. Provides strategic guidance and oversight across a variety of IT functional areas to support internal business processes. Establishes, plans, and administers the information technology department's overall strategy, goals, and policies. Develops the department budget and routinely evaluates IT operations to drive process improvements or cost savings. Continuously develops and improves operating policies and procedures to ensure computer equipment, hardware, and software operate in alignment with organizational needs and standards. Monitors performance reports and user feedback to develop insights and strategies for operational and business initiatives. Collaborates with senior leadership in various departments to ensure organizational goals are met. May require a master's degree. Typically reports to Chief Information Officer (CIO). Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head. |
