| Requirements and Responsibilities For Admitting Supervisor |
| Supervises the day-to-day patient admissions and access operations and staff responsible for required registration, and patient intake processes. Follows standardized processes for admission procedures to ensure accurate data collection, a positive patient experience, and effective coordination between clinical and administrative teams. Monitors operational metrics to improve processes, increase efficiency, or correct problems. Prepares staff work schedules to ensure coverage and coordinate training and staff resources. Follows all established policies and standards to preserve patient confidentiality, ensure data security and comply with all applicable regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. |
